In this symbolic work from the imagination of Rocio Davila, the sun illuminates the exquisite earthen surfaces of these mate gourd boxes and matching centerpiece. The artisan selects the gourds based on their natural contours, drying-out the pieces before engraving the surfaces and scorching them over a flame to achieve artistic perfection. Light colors and delicate tracery are sure to be noticed in any tasteful setting. As each piece is crafted individually by hand there may exist slight variations in size and color.
